Business Breakthrough Barometer Survey 2026

Dear Business Leader,

Thank you for taking the time to participate in this survey.

Your input is essential to the Business Breakthrough Barometer. The Barometer - now in its third edition - provides the annual pulse-check from leading businesses on how climate risks, policy shifts, and the development of low-carbon solutions are steering strategy and investment.

This survey is intended for senior business leaders and decision-makers (e.g., board members, C-suite and senior executives) with responsibility for strategy, investment, sustainability, operations or policy engagement, and reflects your individual professional perspective.

Before beginning, please note the following:

  • All responses are confidential.
  • Responses will be aggregated and won't be attributed to you or your company.
  • The survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete and contains about 30 questions.

In this survey, the “transition” refers specifically to efforts to reduce and/or remove greenhouse gas emissions and align business activity with net-zero pathways, including investments in low-carbon solutions and actions to manage climate-related risks.

If you leave your email address (final question in the survey), you will be invited to early in-sights webinars hosted in May 2026.

The Business Breakthrough Barometer is developed by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development in partnership with the Breakthrough Agenda, the Marrakech Partnership, the Climate High-Level Champions, and several leading business networks, with analytical support from Bain & Company.

The final report will be launched during London Climate Action Week (21-29 June 2026). Last year, the Business Breakthrough Barometer was highlighted in major media outlets and the collective insights contributed to over 20 discussions with governments and industry.

We kindly ask that you complete the full survey so we can capture the most accurate and representative insights.

If you have any questions, please contact breakthrough@wbcsd.org.

Thank you again for your valuable participation.

Best regards,
